Swimming pools or any water catchment area can be deadly for autistic children. However, a tailored swim lessons may save their lives. In addition to life preservation, swimming can help autistic children to improve speech, coordination, social skills, self-esteem and cognitive processing. Swimming can also improve their behavior as they learn to follow orders at the pool.
This program is suitable for children 3 years old and above. The lessons will be conducted by a certified and experienced coach.
Note:Prior to commencement of lesson, we require your child to attend a trial class to assess her/his abilities in the water to match with the method of teaching. Different children will have different abilities in terms of movement in water, understanding instructions and adhering to water safety measures, and therefore will require different approaches in order to make the program a success.
